Audubon Bird Print Group 434 – Mountain Bluebird, Cordilleran Flycatcher, Townsend’s Warbler, Plumbeous Vireo, Dark Eyed Junco
As Audubon worked through his collection of bird specimens, it became clear to him that making prints for each individual species was going to make his Havell and Bien editions much too large and costly. He transitioned into making prints with multiple species of bird which are now some of the most beautiful and valuable of his prints.
And I followed suit. The biggest hurdle was availability of species. Due to location of his work in comparison to mine, I was not able to document all species so I improvised to manage to complete this work. These multi-species prints are exemplary examples of Audubon’s ornithological work and it was an absolute must to include these in my series.
About the Print
This print works to replicate Audubon’s fine hand-colored lithographs to the fullest extent possible by the artist. They still retain their unique touch of the photographer and artist which ensures their value to your naturalist art collection.
