Golden Eagle

The Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) specimen Audubon documented nearly killed him. As a homage to the bird, the original print includes a small self portrait of the original artist. Photographed with permission of the National Eagle Repository, the Golden Eagle print sales will be redirected to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science in accordance with the Sacred Eagle Act.

Accurate representation inspired by Audubon’s print layout. Sized to match Harvell edition prints from the double elephant folio edition. Read Audubon’s journal about his encounters.
