The American Flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber) print displays Audubon’s solution to ensure the prints document species in a lifesize manner while still document the entire bird. Using this low-head pose ensure viewers can understand the birds size and grace without compromising.

Accurate representation inspired by Audubon’s print layout. Sized to match Harvell edition prints from the double elephant folio edition. Read Audubon’s journal about his encounters.
