After hatching and making a 30 yard dash across the beach, baby sea turtles hit the protective arms of ocean waves that sweep them off to their new home. It is that moment, that first wave, one without a sense of the dangers the ocean holds is what I sought to capture in this piece. This little turtle floats lightly on the waves as its launched into its next adventure.
